We genuinely care about the environment and are dedicated to preserving it through resource efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental impact reduction, all while promoting a culture of sustainability. We are also committed to assisting our local community in their efforts to protect our local wildlife and reduce environmental impacts in our region. From assisting local volunteers to assisting the travel of sick and injured wildlife to assisting the Magnetic Island Network for Turtles and the Magnetic Island Koala Hospital. We are also a proud member of Plastic Free Townsville and are constantly working to reduce our paper consumption within our operations through functional technology solutions.

Supporting the Community

Our engagement and support for the communities where we operate takes the approach of a bespoke local content plan to capture the needs of our community and empower our teams on the ground.

Local community support primarily takes the form of directly creating local jobs and economic opportunities through us or our suppliers, as well as charitable donations, sponsorship, and the provision of in-kind services to enable our communities to thrive.  SeaLink proudly supports the Annual SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week an iconic destination event for Townsville, North Queensland and the event generates over $1 Million in revenue for the local economy each year.

Prizes for Community Fundraising

Fundraising is an important part of many schools, churches, societies, clubs, and community organisations' activities, and SeaLink Queensland can help by donating ferry tickets as prizes. We regret that we cannot grant every donation request due to the large number of requests we receive, and we can only respond to successful applicants.

Travel Sponsorship

SeaLink Queensland may be able to assist with free or discounted ferry travel for organisations that complete the Travel Sponsorship Application Form and address all criteria.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan

SeaLink North Queensland community engagement includes support of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and communities. SeaLink Marine & Tourism nationally are committed to create an organisation which embraces and incorporates recognition, acknowledgement and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. To create opportunity and capacity building for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned businesses in our direct community.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) provides a structured framework to be intentional about our contribution to reconciliation as we build respect for, and relationships with, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples around Australia.
