Why Christmas at the Cape is on everyone’s wish list!

Cruising Cape Cleveland is proving to be a popular way to celebrate Christmas, selling out on this unique experience for the festive season.

This year, we’re running two Christmas at the Cape tours, which will treat those quick enough to snag a spot to a half-day scenic cruise through the beautiful waters surrounding Townsville, Magnetic Island and Cape Cleveland; before giving them an opportunity to visit the historic Cleveland Bay lighthouse.

If this tour isn’t already on your Christmas wish list, here are five reasons to put it on your bucket-list for 2017:

1. Discover the history of Cape Cleveland Lighthouse, which has marked the entrance to Cape Cleveland Bay since 1879.

The site is Heritage listed and in addition to the lighthouse includes two residences, generator shed and fuel store, an old powerhouse, workshop, garage, old winch sheds and observation platform.

2. Explore the isolated beauty of Cape Cleveland by foot, or see it from a bird’s eye view with a scenic flight over the bay.

3. Enjoy Christmas drinks and nibbles in the air-conditioned comfort of our ferry, or in the cooling sea breeze on our decks.

4. Be serenaded during the journey by country music star and SeaLink Queensland ambassador, Jade Holland.

Jade recently shot the music video below on Magnetic Island. We’ll cruise past some of these rocky, pine-lined bays as we make for Cape Cleveland.

5Take in an incredible North Queensland sunset from the Coral Sea, knowing you’ve just had a day you’ll never forget.

Bookings for SeaLink Queensland’s Christmas at the Cape tours have all been booked out!  This tours runs from 2pm to 7pm, from Townsville’s Breakwater Terminal.
