SeaLink are excited to bring a expanded North Queensland Adventure series to Townsville residents and visitors alike this year.  Following a successful season in 2017 we are throwing our hats into the ring, doubling our departure dates and testing the waters (pun intended) with a new whale watching tour!  Read on to find out more.

Cape Cleveland Lighthouse Tours

Experience a half-day tour to one of the region’s most sought after destinations. Cape Cleveland Lighthouse was the first lighthouse to be built in Townsville back in 1879. The isolation and beauty of this part of North Queensland is just as striking as it was in the early years.

This informative tour of Townsville’s history commences with a journey across Cleveland Bay taking in spectacular views along the way (approx. 40 minutes). On arrival to Cape Cleveland you will be taken ashore by barge, from there you can take the walk up to the lighthouse and enjoy historical displays with past and present residents.

Spend your time taking in the natural beauty that Cape Cleveland has to offer. After an afternoon of exploration, enjoy drinks and nibbles as we watch the sunset over Townsville and Magnetic Island on our return journey.

Hot Tip: Join our Mothers Day at the Cape tour for an extra special day out for Mum!

Whale Watching Tour

Each year the waters surrounding Townsville, Magnetic Island & The Palm Island Group come alive with the annual migration of the majestic Humpback Whale.

These amazing mammals love playing in the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef and migrate every year to feed, mate and give birth before returning south with their calves. Mid-July to September is a prime time for whale watching and this cruise is the perfect opportunity to enjoy an encounter with these gentle giants.
