4 Night & 5 Day Australian Wildlife, Island & Bush Mini Self Drive Safari

This self drive safari of North Queensland offers a land richly endowed by nature and wildlife. It is a land of contrasts - starting in Townsville a modern beachside city, then heading to Magnetic Island - a National Park full of Eucalypt trees and home to the largest colony of koalas in Northern Australia and the native rock wallaby. Heading west you reach the historic gold mining town of Charters Towers and gateway to the Outback with lush farm lands. You will then discover the ancient rainforest and the largest single drop waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere. See stunning wetlands with abundant birdlife and mountain rivers home to the shy platypus, along with amazing underwater life of the Great Barrier Reef. This journey will allow you to meet our native Australian wildlife in both the wild and interpretive environments - you will even have the chance to see a real Australian Billabong.

On this safari you will be welcomed by the locals in island and bush villages where the people and animals engage you in their eccentric and colourful world.
